Southport & Formby ‘Lift Up’
Unless stated, meetings are at 7.30pm on the last Thursday of each month at our Lady of Lourdes Parish Rooms, Birkdale, Southport PR8 3DA. Please contact Janet Hicks for information 01704 704087.
Swimming for ladies affected by breast cancer is on the first Friday evening of the month, 7.30-8.30pm at the Spinal Unit Swimming Pool, Southport & District Hospital.
COLORECTAL CANCER SUPPORT GROUP (flyer)
Come along for a hot drink and an informal chat with our Colorectal Nurse Specialists. We support people with a diagnosis of colorectal cancer, but family and friends are welcome too.

Meets on the first Tuesday evening of the month, 6.30pm-8pm at St John the Baptist Church Hall, School Lane, Burscough L40 4AW. Meets for coffee cake, friendship and encouragement and to pray for families affected by cancer. Firm Roots is hoping to set up more prayer support groups in other areas, including Southport. Supporting people with a diagnosis of lung cancer. Friends and family are welcome. The meetings are informal with a talk or an activity and provide an opportunity to chat over a cuppa.
The Lung Cancer Support Group meets on the second Tuesday afternoon of the month, 2pm-4pm at the Macmillan Centre. Alternate monthly events i.e. afternoon tea or lunches out at various venues.

The Myeloma Support Group, in partnership with Myeloma UK., meets at 2pm every first Tuesday of the month at
The Group aims to offer informal support for people affected by Myeloma. Family and friends very welcome. Why not come along?

The centre is open every day for people affected by any cancer type. We provide a drop-in centre, social activities meals out bi-monthly. Complimentary therapies, help and support. Services provided include: Carers, Gay, Relatives, All cancers, Befriending, Bereavement Support, Cancer information materials, Complementary therapies, Home visiting, Information, Internet use available, Provision for visually impaired, Support from Health Professionals, Telephone helpline.

Our group meets Bi monthly on the last Friday of the month. 2 -3.30 at Peacehaven House, 101 Roe Lane, Southport.

Meets on the first Thursday of most months 7pm-9pm, usually at Hurlston Hall. Tea/coffee & biscuits are provided. Bar is available.
The aim of the group is to provide access to information, support & advice provided for those affected by Prostate Cancer. The group includes men with prostate cancer, their families and healthcare professionals. It is patient led, run by a committee ( elected).

SEFTON & WEST LANCS MELANOMA PATIENT GROUP (flyer)
Patients of Southport and Ormskirk Hospital have introduced a Melanoma Patient Group with the help of the Medical Team, the group is in its early stages and would welcome the support and attendance of more patients and their partners/carers/family members at our meetings.
